I HAVN'T RECIVED A UPDATE SENCE 3-20-09 . WHEN IT RUNS IT SAYS NO NEW
UPDATES AVAILABLE. HOW CAN I BE SURE IT'S WORKING AND REALY CHECKING FOR
UPDATES?

1) turn off your Caps Lock key please.
2) MS updates normally once a month. It's working.

Personally I would uninstall an unimportant update then after a restart, run
windows update to see if the one you uninstalled shows up.

If you are running Windows Defender then you should be receiving updates,
there was one on the 26th and one on the 30th March. Other than that the
last official update was on the 19 March.
