I cannot delete messages from my outbox.
When I want delete two emails from my outbox, Windows Mail tells me:
An unknown error has occurred!
it is only two previously email messages that I tried to send.
Now, I cannot delete these emails,
I tried to Right click it and mark it as read and then try to delete, it
does not work either.
It prevents me to send any email, the messages that I want to send are
blocked in my outbox.
It is the first time that I encountered this problem
Are others having the same problem ?

Can anyone figure this one out !
Thank You

Agnes M:

I've had MS Windows for over a month, and now the same thing is happening to
me. I have a message in my in box that I cannot delete. My sent messages
are blocked in my out box and won't 'send'. I am getting the message: "An
unknown error has occurred. I'm getting SO frustrated; I wish I'd never
purchased this PC with Windows Vista! If anyone out there can help, PLEASE
let me know! Thanks.

This is a known issue with Windows Mail. See if this below will help

Drag all the ones that will move into the Drafts folder. At least one
message will probably refuse to move. If you can't delete that one,
go here for the fix:

I have this msg in my Inbox and could not be deleted.

"Message could not be displayed
Windows Mail encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this
message. Check your computer for low memory or low disk space and try again."

When I click 'delete' error msg pop out. Very irritating and disappointed
with Window Mail!!

This is a known issue. I would just ignore it for now. There should be a fix for this soon.

Soon? I doubt it.
Users who are tired of Windows Mail problems should switch to
Windows Live Mail:

Hi Gary, I'm new at this and have similar problems to the others. Tell me
please, if Windows Live Mail is better than Windows Mail then why don't
Microsoft have eveyone to use it? What about using Outlook Express instead?
I also have emails that I wish to send at various times that come up as
(HTML) not in my Windows Mail but something else that I don't understand.
There isn't a send button and I can't access my Contacts box when here. Is
this all part of the same problem and will Live Mail combat these issues
also? Would be very greatful for your help here as I don't want to change
what I have and then create further unknown problems for the future.

I am having the same problem with message I cannot delete from outbox. I have
given up trying to sort it and have installed Thunderbird. I bought a new
computer 6 weeks ago with Vista and Windows Mail is faulty. For any other
product that is faulty the maker or seller would have to sort it out. How can
I complain to Microsoft?

Right click on the link on the website and choose Save Target As. Then when
you get the zip file unzip it and extract the two files to the Desktop.
Then run the program.

Here's the feedback link...

BTW, I think Tbird is a better mail client.

I have managed to get it now, this is so frustrating as I gave up and paid
Dell £34.08 to fix this and they even went and used an evaluation copy of a
very similiar thing. I am so annoyed haveing to pay this pc is less than 2
months old and I think under UK law not fit for purpose that is vista I am
reffering to. made worse by the etechnician at the end saying" its a known
gliche with spyware..urg
Any way thank you again,
Marion

Thank you steve. the utility worked like a charm. I first tried to copy to
desk top the dll. file without the wmutil. You really need to put both of
them on your desktop. Thanks again !!
