Can't delete mail from deleted box

Update - after wearing out my mouse button and using the Windows Mail 'Empty
Deleted" function, I was able to get rid of all the junk in there. This only
worked after a program restart. Now Empty actually does empty the folder of
multiple messages.

If it means anything, I haven't cold-booted my system for about a week.
Vista RC2 seems to be much more stable than XP Pro.

I just started having the same problem, I now have 56 messages in my deleted
folder and cannot get rid of any of them. Has a solution been found since
the last posting or will the fix only be provided in the release in January?

The only workaround I could find was to "Empty Deleted Items" over and over
and over again until each message was deleted one by one... HTH

I had this problem today where the message has no address and it cannot be
deleted in VISTA Mail. I think I have an answer . This worked for me. I
deltes
one messages at a time. In web mail , do the following steps.
in this order, go to Tools, Options, Advanced, Maintenance, Check all Boxes,
next Clean Up Now, Remove messages, Delte, then close open display. Close,
Close, OK the finally Close and re-open web mail. Go to depte messages
foldeer and the messages is gone from the folder. You may have to repeat for
other undeleted messages the same process. I hope this helps. It worked for
me.

What finally worked for me was to right click on "Deleated Items" when the
comformation window opens, choose OK. This deleatwed messages onat a time

Not sure I follow you. How do you get the message that is stuck in
the Outbox to move to Deleted Items?

I too am having the same problem, I wish I would have known that Windows
Vista was FULL of problems. Windows Mail either takes forever to load or it
doesn't respond. Now I have an entire deleted itemd box stuck with messages
I no longer need nor want. I am very disappointed with WV.

Like any microsoft product, it's full of problems. I wish they would
consider that all the consumers don't have the knowlege to go and rename
files, fix data bases, etc. I drive a car and can't install a water pump or
repair a cylinder, but at least I can have someone repair it. I can't
imagine anyone thinking that adeqate customer service is saying, "Hey, it's a
problem, sorry."

My take on this issue is, you gave me a defective product. Fix it.

As I said before, don't throw the baby out with the bath water.
Vista is not "full of problems," just because you're having a few
problems with a freebie mail program that Microsoft threw in.

When car manufacturers come out with a new car line,
you can bet that there will be a few factory recalls.

If you don't like Windows Mail, use an alternate such as
web mail, Outlook, Thunderbird or Eudora.

I agree. But I get tired of waiting on them, so I try and put out stuff to
help you do it yourself.
