I have tried doing what Bob Hinman suggests. I have no "new contact group"
listed. Where do I get that function from?

If the toolbar in Contacts doesn't have its normal icons,
then the folder type for Contacts is incorrect. To fix it:
Open Windows Contacts. Right-click somewhere in that empty white
space to the far right (not on the toolbar). Select Customize This Folder,
click the little triangle, and from the dropdown list select Contacts,
then click OK.

Inside Windows Mail (not Windows Live Mail or Windows Explorer),
click on Tools, then Windows Contacts.

If you want to do it for Windows Live Mail as well, ask for instructions
in newsgroup microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop.
