This is the message I get when trying to run the setup with the digital locker... Cannot extract Windows Vista Setup to your hard drive. I get the same error. I tried to create a backup disk and it does not see the disk in the dvd burner. Someone please help us! Same problem here. I sent MS an e-mail asking for help on it, but I don't have high hopes. I notice that although you do get an error, a folder called Vista is created and appears to have all the files in it. I am burning the contents of that folder to a DVD and will see if that can be booted. Joe >> Stay informed about: Cannot Extract to hard drive

Alright so what's the update??? Successful create new text file in the folder? successful install upon redownloading using digital locker assistant? were the 3 files also marked as read only? After 4 days of downloading, I got the same error. There are more posts in this thread than any other Vista installation thread so I do hope you'll put some effort into fixing this quickly Microsoft.
