How do I get Vista to display thumbnails of photo images? Ap present
everywhere in the computer all thumbnails show an icon of the opening program
rather than an actual thumbnail. This makes finding the right photo among
thousands an absolute nightmare. Changing the opening program just swaps all
the thumbnails to the nw icon.

VIEWS doesn't work for you? Perhaps they all need to be in the Pictures
folder . . . no, I still see thumbnails elsewhere

No 'Views' doesn't do what I'd expect - it changes the icon size or between
List etc but there are no real thumbnails

Views just changes the icon sizes or organise lists etc. No real thumbnails
are displayed anywhere

You have to change a setting in Folder and Search Options. Click the
Organize button in any folder and choose Folder and Search Options. Or click
Start, type fol and click Folder Options. Then click the View tab in the
dialog box. Clear the checkbox next to "Always show icons, never thumbnails"
and click OK.

Thanks, Alan. I was having the same problem after upgrade from XP Pro to
Windows Vista Business. I thought I was missing a utility. Now if I can
just find an answer to my Photoshop CS2 problem...

Have a good one.
